The Inman Aligner is a fast, effective and convenient treatment for patients who require minor orthodontic correction. This removable brace takes weeks, rather than months or years, to straighten the teeth and it offers flexibility, comfort and discretion.
What is the Inman Aligner?
The Inman Aligner is a removable orthodontic appliance, which is specially designed to treat patients with minor misalignment issues. The aligner is made from two key parts, which include a thin metal bar, which sits on the front teeth and a coiled spring, which lies behind the teeth. These two components generate forces, which squeeze the teeth, causing them to move.
This treatment was developed in the USA and has since enjoyed great success all over the world. Dr Paul Hooi has expertise in using this system to create amazing, straight smiles.
What are the advantages of this treatment?
The Inman Aligner offers numerous advantages. Firstly, treatment is extremely swift, with most cases complete within just 16 weeks. The aligner is also removable, which gives you more freedom and it is comfortable and light. This treatment is also great for oral health, as you don’t need to worry about getting food stuck in your braces when you eat; you simply remove the aligner before a meal and then replace it once you have finished and then take it out again when you clean your teeth.
Although the Inman Aligner is not an invisible treatment, the fine metal bar, which can be seen at the front of the teeth, is much more discreet than traditional fixed braces.
Are there any disadvantages?
The only real disadvantage of this system is that it is not suitable for everyone. This treatment is designed to work quickly and it only produces a limited amount of tooth movement, which makes it unsuitable for those with complex needs, who require a lot more movement.
