Introducing Dr Eddie Goggins From Dublin18 Dental Care To The People Of Monkstown

Dr Eddie Goggins, the founder of Dublin18 Dental Care, is an extremely experienced dentist with a wide range of interests.

Eddie graduated from Trinity College Dublin and then moved to Bath for further training; he spent four years honing his skills in cosmetic and restorative treatment under the watchful eye of highly-respected dentist, Dr Michael Coleman, ad then returned to Ireland to take up a position at Naas Hospital. During this time, Eddie worked for the HSE and gained valuable expertise in treating children, including those with special needs.

After leaving the hospital, Eddie joined a family dental practice in Monkstown and ten years ago, he realised a dream of opening his own dental centre: Dublin18 Dental Care.

The Dublin18 philosophy

Eddie opened the practice with the goal of providing the patients of Dublin18, Monkstown and beyond with affordable, high quality dental care. The dream was to care for the whole family in a modern, yet familiar and comfortable setting, and to offer cutting-edge treatments alongside preventative and general dental services.

Since opening the practice Eddie has continued to pursue his interests in cosmetic and restorative dentistry and he has also undertaken training in Implantology and facial aesthetics. He completed an MSc in Implantology at Warwick University and also attended courses at the Bob Khanna Training Institute. Eddie is a long-established member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and regularly attends events and conferences.

Eddie is always on the lookout for new treatments to benefit the patients at Dublin18 Dental Care and Orthodontics is another area of interest; Eddie is a certified provider of 6 Month Smiles, Invisalign and the Inman Aligner.

The secret of our success is a great dental team, which is expertly lead by practice owner and principal dentist, Dr Eddie Goggins. Eddie established Dublin18 Dental Care with the aim of creating a family-friendly, forward thinking practice, which provides the latest treatments in a relaxing and comfortable environment.

About Dr Eddie Goggins

Dr Eddie Goggins qualified from Trinity College, Dublin in 1991, before moving to Bath to join a general dental practice, which specialised in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. During his time in Bath, Dr Goggins honed his skills under the supervision of Dr Michael Coleman.

After spending four years in England, Dr Goggins returned to Ireland and started work at a hospital in Naas, where he gained experience in treating children and patients with special needs. He also spent time working at a general practice in Monkstown before opening Dublin18 Dental Care.

Dr Goggins is hugely popular with colleagues and patients; he has an eye for detail and is a self-confessed perfectionist and patients always feel safe in his hands. He is very warm and understanding and he does everything he can to make sure that every client feels as relaxed as possible.

Dr Goggins is committed to providing the best care possible for patients and all the dental team members attend training and further professional development courses to ensure that they are able to offer the latest treatments, have understanding of new techniques and are familiar with policies and protocol.

In addition to his graduate qualifications, Dr Goggins has also completed postgraduate training, including an MSc in Implantology and one is of few dentists in Ireland to offer patients Cerec treatment.
